Badminton

Appleby Badminton Club was formed in September 2006 when the new four court Appleby Sports Centre opened. We have two club nights each week plus a junior coaching session.

 

 

 

For the 2008/09 season we had three teams entered in the Penrith & District Badminton League, one in the first division, who finished third, and two in the third division, finishing 1st and 3rd. Next season, 2009/10, hopefully we will have three teams,  each in a different division.

 

 

 

A team from the junior section, which meets for coaching on a Monday evening 6-8pm, finished second in the Eden Valley Junior League. As this section of the club is thriving we may have two teams in the junior league for 2009/10.

 

 

 

New players are very welcome either at Club or team level. Come and join us at one of our club nights or contact Sheila for more information.
